SOCOM Gears newest edition to the their 1911 lineup is a spin-off design of the pistols used in the well known action film of its namesake. While not an exact replica of the models that were dual wielded by the shadowy action figure, this pistol is dripping with its own evil aura that is sure to drive fear into the hearts of those who oppose it.
The Punisher is built on the frame of a WE 1911 but has been fitted with their trademark lightweight aluminum slide which gives the pistol a snappier recoil and improved gas efficiency. As can be seen in picture #7, this pistol comes with a standard barrel bushing as well as a cleverly designed ported compensator which locks into the slide just like the standard bushing. This allows the user to easily convert the pistol from a standard 1911 to the long slide Punisher by simply changing out the bushing.
If you look closely at this pistol you will find the designer put quite a lot of work into the detail of his creation. The slide is engraved with Custom Punisher .45 on one side and No Mercy on the other. Then just above the right grip on the pistols frame you will see the inscription Baptism by Fire right above where you trigger finger would be. You will also find the Punisher has white dot combat sights, a custom trigger, skeleton hammer and checkering on the grips frame and backstrap.
Aside from its cold and deadly appearance the Punisher is a solid performer capable of punching out 300 fps at the muzzle and effectively taking down baddies at over 40 yards on the run. With a high grade brass inner barrel and adjustable hop-up system these pistols are very accurate and can be used with a wide range of BB weights ranging from high velocity .2g all the way up to heavy weight .28g for the most accuracy.
The Punisher comes packaged is a hard plastic case with protective foam padding although we have a feeling it will not spend much time there.
When loading this pistols magazine be careful not to release the spring so that the follower slams against the top of the magazine. This can cause the follower to break as well as damaging the lips of the magazine which will not be covered under warranty.
